Thus, covering the cost of a quality engineering or technical education is a major concern to students, parents, and Tarleton!!
Tarleton has numerous academic scholarships for qualified students. The university increased scholarships by over 20% during th past year and is presently over half-way in its goal to raise an additional $20 million by 2002 for student scholarships. This is in addition to other aide including employement, financial aide, etc.
If you are a good high school student looking for a quality Physics, Engineering, Math, Pre-engineering or other technical program, we have scholarships!!

Science and math education research indicate that the academic success and long term retention of material is greatly enhanced by a small active learning environment. In order to ensure the success of its students, Tarleton classes are kept small and the department providing additional educational resources to promote both an active learning environment in the classroom as well as outside tutoring. Thus, there are numerous positions for engineering physics students to work in the department as classroom helpers, tutors, lab assistants, and homework graders.
Tarleton faculty operate active research programs in both engineering and physics. This research is funded both internally by the Tarleton Organized Research Committee and departmental funds and by external granting agencies including the Department of Defense, Research Corporation, etc.
Research fellowships are available for both the summer and the academic year and are awarded on a competitive basis to students interested in doing engineering physics research. These awards typically range from $500 to $3000 per year depending on the individual research program funding.
