Astronomy in Pakistan

PURPOSE
In July and August of 1999 I gave a workshop on fundamentals of Observational Astronomy at Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission, Karachi (SUPARCO). The participants of the workshop expressed an interest in having a platform to communicate with me and other participants on a regular basis. It was decided that the best way to do this would be to set up a web page. This web page should contain relevant information that will be useful for workshop participants as relates to matters in observational astronomy research in Pakistan.

Therefore I have set up this web page as a starting point. It is currently under development and will go through many changes. I invite the participants of the workshop to provide feedback and suggestions. Once I hear from some of the participants and their questions, I will put them here on the web page. In addition I will put other information related to the general topic of observational astronomy research in Pakistan.
