Course Outline:

• To develop an understanding of the usefulness of rational numbers and their various representations.

• To compare and order rational numbers in their different representations.

• To establish benchmarks for decimals, percents, and fractions and use them to compare and estimate.

• To develop an understanding of addition and subtraction of rational numbers.

• To develop an understanding of multiplication of rational numbers.

• To use percents in application problems.

• To develop an understanding of division of rational numbers.
