Course Outline:
To develop an understanding of the usefulness of rational numbers and their various representations.
To compare and order rational numbers in their different representations.
To establish benchmarks for decimals, percents, and fractions and use them to compare and estimate.
To develop an understanding of addition and subtraction of rational numbers.
To develop an understanding of multiplication of rational numbers.
To use percents in application problems.
To develop an understanding of division of rational numbers.
