Students in the are encouraged to join professional organizations early in their professional careers. Several of the student clubs are also chapters of national professional organizations including the American Institute of Physics (AIP), Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), American Water Resource Association (AWRA), and the Mathematical Association of America. The Department also houses student chapters of national proffesional honor societies including Sigma Pi Sigma (Physics). |
